Compare SYQEL and Virtual DJ Video Mixer: Automated Visualizer vs. Video Mixer
If you are just looking for VJ software, then Virtual DJ (an entire suite of DJ equipment) has many (perhaps more than needed) features. You have to have a Virtual DJ license to use their video mixer. You are limited to royalty-free content and effects, or you have to pay for content use. SYQEL vs. Virtual DJ's Video Mixer:
An In-Depth Feature Comparison
Which product best suits your needs?
Software Compatibility
SYQEL can be downloaded as a desktop app on Windows/Mac. There are very few system requirements to use the app. It can also act as a web-based app, so you can generate visuals online and off. SYQEL can be set up so that it receives any audio source: a desktop, a microphone, you name it. This means that you can use any form of audio DJing equipment you own (or will own). The app can also be connected to your Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook accounts for livestreams using your own personal DJ URL.
Virtual DJ is an entire DJ mixer, either to be used on its own or with other pieces of hardware. You would have to buy a Virtual DJ license to have access to their VJ mixing software. Because the VJ software is connected to Virtual DJ, you can only add visuals if you are using Virtual DJ for your shows. To use Virtual DJ video at larger venues with several screens or projectors, you have to have a dual monitor setup, the required video cards, and VGA cables that convert your laptop to a signal that is suitable for the large display.

Time Spent Setting Up and Using Software
To use VJ Pro, you must first download and set up Virtual DJ. You have to hook it up to hardware you already have, or set up a virtual hardware "skin" to use for mixing. There are 5 "getting started" videos and several "how to use this product in practice" videos (only a few of those videos are pictured on the right).
With SYQEL, there is no complicated interface you need to learn. You just download the software on your PC. Choose your audio input (laptop, microphone, whatever you choose) from your online account and open the desktop app. The app immediately starts visualizing. Modify the framerate, visual duration, and transition times. Modify your set and SYQEL will adjust automatically. It takes 5 minutes to set up and start using SYQEL.

Ease of Software Usage
SYQEL uses the power of AI to automatically react to any designated audio input and generate visuals for you in real time (like the visual pictured on the left.) You don't have to think about managing visuals at all. The SYQEL app does all the work of creation, so it's very easy to use.
Virtual DJ's video mixer requires you to find and install your own images, videos, effects, and transitions from approved content sources. If you want to customize any materials, you have to go through the process yourself in advance. You have to make sure any acquired material for your VJ set is compatible with the version of Virtual DJ you are using, and with the hardware you are using to run Virtual DJ itself. Images and videos are known to lag or not show up at all, which is frustrating for many first time (and seasoned) VJs. And unless you use a "loop video" feature when playing live, you have to set up timing and transitions in advance.

Visual Media Generation
SYQEL uses the power of AI to automatically react to any designated audio input and generate visuals for you in real time. The SYQEL app does all the work of creation, so it's very easy to use.
Virtual DJ's video mixer requires you to add images/videos and install transitions/effects from the Virtual DJ content library (pictured on the right), or another approved source. You have to source, sync, queue, and mix videos as you are performing. You are limited to what is available in Virtual DJ's content library, or paid materials from an approved source. Virtual DJ offers a video content license, VJ Pro – for an extra € 50 a month. And you only get this option if you have a Pro License.

Learning Curve and Fine-Tuning Visuals
SYQEL uses the power of AI to automatically react to any designated audio input and generate visuals for you in real time (like the visual pictured on the left.) The SYQEL app does all the work of creation, so it's very easy to use.
To make visually pleasing and worthwhile visual content with Virtual DJ, you have to find, install, and learn how to use content samples, transitions, and effects. You have to be on top of mixing visuals throughout your show.

What about pricing differences?
A SYQEL lifetime license entitles you to all current and future SYQEL features and auto-updates. With Virtual DJ, you have to buy a Virtual DJ License to use Virtual DJ outside the home, and a Virtual DJ Pro Content License to have a decent selection of visual content to build visual sets with.
Virtual DJ Lifetime License and VJ Pro Monthly Content License.
While a Virtual DJ license can be a one-time purchase, you have to pay monthly for content.

SYQEL Lifetime Software License.

Virtual DJ Annual Business License.
