I Can't Find SYQEL as a Window Source in OBS on macOS

Work through these in order.

1. Turn on Broadcast. In SYQEL Desktop, press B or click Broadcast. This opens the SYQEL Visuals window, which is the one to capture. It only exists while Broadcast, NDI or a recording is on, and it must stay open, not minimized.
2. Pick the right source type. In recent OBS versions on Mac, add macOS Screen Capture, set its method to capture a window, and choose SYQEL Visuals from the list.
3. Give OBS permission. Open System Settings › Privacy & Security › Screen & System Audio Recording (Screen Recording on older macOS) and make sure OBS is switched on. If you just turned it on, quit and reopen OBS.
4. Restart both apps. Quit OBS, make sure Broadcast is on in SYQEL, then open OBS again so it lists the window.

Skip window capture entirely

SYQEL Desktop can send its visuals to OBS over NDI instead, so there’s no window to find. Click NDI in SYQEL’s top bar, then in OBS add an NDI Source (with the DistroAV plugin) and pick SYQEL Desktop. Full steps: How to Set Up SYQEL in OBS on Mac.
