Connect your music to SYQEL Art
SYQEL Art can only move with music it can hear. What it can hear depends on the screen you use.

On a Mac or Windows computer
The app hears your computer’s sound directly. No cable and no share bar. Your music keeps playing through your speakers as normal.
- Open SYQEL Art.
- Click 🔊 Connect visualizer to system audio or specific app. It now hears everything your computer plays.
- To hear only one app, move your mouse to the top right to open the menu. Under AUDIO SOURCE, open the list and pick your music app under apps.
Mics, virtual inputs and DJ interfaces are in the same list, under input devices. To play a file, click 📁 Choose / drop an audio or video file, or drag a file onto the window.
On a Mac, macOS must allow SYQEL Art to see single apps. If the menu offers only System Audio, click allow screen recording, say yes, then quit and reopen SYQEL Art. SYQEL Art only uses this to hear sound. It does not record your screen.
In the browser
A browser cannot hear other apps or tabs. You have three choices.
- A music file: click 📁 Choose / drop an audio or video file, or drag a song onto the page.
- A mic or a line in: click 🔊 Connect an input device (no share bar), allow the microphone, and pick your input.
- Your computer’s sound: set up a virtual input first. That is Stereo Mix or VB-Cable on Windows, and BlackHole or Loopback on a Mac. Send your music to it, then pick it with 🔊 Connect an input device (no share bar). Step by step: Mac or Windows.
To hear Spotify or another app with no setup, use the Mac or Windows app instead.
On Android
- Start the music in your music app, like Spotify or YouTube.
- In SYQEL Art, tap 🎙 Capture.
- Allow Android to record audio, then tap Start now.
- Go back to SYQEL Art. To stop, tap ■ Stop.
You can also tap ☰ to play your own songs, or ♪ File to open a file. Capture and a library song can’t run at the same time.
On iPhone and iPad
iPhone apps can’t hear other apps. SYQEL Art plays your music itself.
- Tap ☰ Library to play a song you own. Allow music access the first time.
- Tap ♪ File to open a song from Files or iCloud Drive.
Songs streamed from Apple Music are copy-protected, so no app can read them. Songs you own, like purchases and files, play fine.
On the TV
The TV app plays the worlds. The music comes from your phone or computer. See Watch SYQEL Art on your TV.
