SYQEL Art troubleshooting: no reaction or choppy visuals
The worlds don’t react to the music
Check what SYQEL Art is listening to first.
- Computer app: open the menu at the top right and look at AUDIO SOURCE. Pick your music app, or system audio.
- App not in the list? Start it playing, then open the list again. It refreshes each time you open it.
- Mac shows only System Audio? Click allow screen recording, say yes, then quit and reopen SYQEL Art. If macOS doesn’t ask, turn on SYQEL Art in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Screen Recording.
- Browser: a browser can’t hear other apps or tabs. Use a file, a mic, or a virtual input. Check the tab isn’t muted. See Connect your music.
- Using a mic? Move it closer to the speakers, or slide sensitivity to the right.
- Android: if one app stays silent in 🎙 Capture, that app may block capture. Try another app or a file.
- iPhone: songs streamed from Apple Music are copy-protected and can’t be read. Play songs you own, or a file. If ☰ Library asks for access, turn on music access for SYQEL Art in iPhone Settings.
The visuals are choppy
- SYQEL Art lowers its drawing size on its own to stay smooth. Give it a few seconds.
- Close other apps, tabs and video calls. They share the same graphics chip.
- In a browser, keep graphics acceleration on, and keep the SYQEL Art tab in front.
- On a big screen, the Mac and Windows app or a TV app usually runs smoother than a browser.
My TV isn’t in the Play on list
- The phone or computer and the TV must be on the same Wi-Fi.
- Use the SYQEL Art app on the phone or computer. The browser can’t cast.
- On a computer with an older TV app, try 📡 Broadcast mode (older TVs).
