How to place your webcam on the virtual stage: move, size, crop and fade
Your SYQEL Live picture is built from layers, stacked from bottom to top:
- Visuals: what plays on the stage screens.
- Stage background: the room.
- Stage foreground: the booth.
- Webcam: you.
- Images: your own pictures (with a plan).
You can move, size, crop and fade every one of them.
Place your webcam
- Open Scenes.
- In the layer stack, pick the Webcam layer.
- Under Transform, drag Left / right to slide yourself across the stage, and Size to make yourself bigger or smaller.
- Under Crop, trim the edges of your camera picture, so the stream shows you and your backdrop, not the room around them.
- Under Blend, pull Opacity down to fade yourself into the visuals for a softer look. Bring it back up for a solid picture.
Every layer works the same way. Arrange the picture once, then play your set.
Order and visibility
- Move a layer forward or back to change what sits on top.
- Turn a layer’s switch off to hide it.
- Remove a layer you no longer need.
Tips
- If you go too far, use Reset to put a layer back.
- Image layers and moving the booth need a plan or a Gig Pass.
- To remove the room behind you, see Remove your webcam background.

Your SYQEL Live picture is built from layers, and you can move every one of them.
Open Scenes. The layer stack lists everything in your picture: the stage, your webcam, and your visuals. Pick the Webcam layer.
Under Transform, slide yourself left or right, and make yourself bigger or smaller.
Crop trims the edges of your camera picture, so only you and your backdrop show.
And under Blend, fade the layer with Opacity, for a softer look.
Every layer works the same way, so you can arrange your picture exactly how you want it.
