Let your SYQEL Studio visual listen to your music
Your SYQEL Studio visual stays still until it hears music. Studio ships no songs, so pick one of three sources.
Open a song file (the easiest)
- Pick a song from your computer, or drag it onto Studio.
- The visual starts moving with the music straight away.
With a file you can pause, play and jump to any part of the song. That’s how you check how a visual handles the breakdown and the drop before you take it to a gig.
A song file plays on your computer and is never uploaded.
Share a tab or your screen
- A browser tab: share the tab that plays your music, with its sound on. Studio hears whatever plays in that tab.
- Your entire screen: share it with Share system audio turned on, in Chrome or Edge, and Studio hears any app on your computer. If your browser doesn’t offer Share system audio on your computer, share the tab that plays your music instead.
Use your microphone
The microphone hears the room, so the visual follows whatever music is playing around you.
What Studio hears best
Studio hears drums best: kick, snare and cymbals. It also follows how loud the bass, keys and vocals are.
Tips
- Use a recent Chrome or Edge.
- Keep the Studio tab in front while music plays. Browsers slow down tabs you can’t see.
- The buttons stay grey for a moment while the listener loads.
