Make music visuals with AI in SYQEL Studio

Watch: Make music visuals with AI in SYQEL Studio

Describe a scene in plain words. The AI builder writes a complete SYQEL visual: the picture, its effects and a starting mapping. Then you fine-tune it on the Effects Board like any other visual.

Make a new visual

  1. Press + New in the top bar, or the New visual tile in the library. The AI builder opens on the left.
  2. Describe the scene in Describe a new visual…: where it is, the hero, the other things in it, what each of them does, and the colours and camera. See How to prompt the AI builder.
  3. Choose how it moves with your music:
    • Drive: one world that moves with your music, where each effect changes one aspect of it.
    • Follow: every instrument gets its own element. See Follow mode.
    • Auto: the builder decides.
  4. Leave New idea ticked.
  5. Press Send, or Ctrl+Enter (Cmd+Enter on a Mac).

The prompt in the video is a slow dive through a sunlit kelp forest with a giant moon jellyfish, silver fish, rising bubbles and glowing anemones, in teal and gold light. Swap in your own scene.

While it works

Studio writes the visual, then checks it on your music. If something fails, it fixes it by itself. In the video it caught one problem and repaired it on its own.

  • Thinking… with a timer. Writing a visual can take a few minutes.
  • Checking on real music… while Studio tests the result.
  • Fixing… 1 of 3 if it needs a repair. Studio makes up to three repairs on its own.

You can press Stop at any time.

When it’s done, the finished visual plays on the stage, already reacting to the music, with its own Effects Board. Put each effect on the instrument you want: see Pick the instrument for each effect.

Change it

Want one thing different? Switch off New idea and ask for the change. The rest of the visual, and your board, stay as they were. See Edit a visual with AI and keep your board settings.

Remix does the same for a pack visual: it makes an editable copy you can change with AI.

AI credits

  • One request uses one AI credit. That is one new visual or one change.
  • Repairs are included in that credit.
  • A visual that never passes costs nothing. The credit comes back.

Your credits show next to the box. They are one balance, shared with SYQEL Desktop’s AI. Subscriptions include credits that reset every month, and top-ups don’t expire.

Save it

A new visual is marked NOT SAVED until you press Save. It must pass its checks first. See Save your visual and play it in SYQEL Desktop.
