Best Music Visualizers for Streaming (2027)

Music visualizers for Twitch, YouTube and Kick streams, side by side. Built-in visualizers, standalone visualizers you bring into OBS, video makers for clips, and apps that stream to several platforms at once.

Quick answer

SYQEL Live streams the same show to Twitch, YouTube, Kick and other platforms at once, as long as your upload can carry every stream. With the other live tools, OBS or your streaming app does the streaming.

Streamers add a music visualizer so the screen moves with the sound. A still frame or a plain webcam does not.

There are three ways to do it live. A streaming app can have a visualizer built in. A standalone visualizer can run next to OBS and send its picture in. Or one app can do the whole stream, with you on camera and the visuals behind you.

What matters most: does it get into your stream, can it reach every platform you use, and do you get a video to post after? Render-only tools make clips from a track you upload. They don’t react live, but they are good at clips between streams. We don’t list prices, because they change.

How we chose

What we looked at

Gets into your stream

A live tool must reach the stream. It can be built into your streaming app, send its picture into OBS, or stream by itself. Render-only tools can't run live. They make clips to post between streams.

Reaches every platform

Some apps stream to several platforms at once, on their own. Others send their picture to OBS, and OBS does the streaming. We say which.

Leaves you a video to post

A recording of the show gives you clips for later. Some live tools record, some don't. Render-only tools make a video from a track you upload.

Free to start

Every pick is free or has a free tier or trial. We say what the free version leaves out, and we don't list prices.

Facts come from each product's official site and documentation, checked October 21, 2026. Where we could not confirm something, the table says "Not stated". No scores, no ratings and no prices: prices change, so we only say whether a free option exists.

The options

01SYQEL Live

Official site

SYQEL Live is our streaming app, for Windows and macOS. Connect your webcam, cut out the background with a green-screen key or the automatic cut-out, and stand on a virtual stage with SYQEL visuals behind you.

It streams by itself, with no OBS scene to build. Pick Twitch, YouTube, Kick, Mixcloud Live, Facebook Live, X, LinkedIn Live, Trovo or any RTMP server, and go live on several at once. It records a copy while you stream, so you have a video to post after. It can also send the visuals out over NDI and Syphon.

The visuals hear the kick, the snare, the hats and the bassline separately. It is free to download and go live, with a SYQEL watermark until you choose a plan or a Gig Pass. Premium stages and some layouts need a plan.

Good for

Going live on camera, on a virtual stage, to Twitch, YouTube, Kick and more at once, with a recording to post after.

Keep in mind

Free use shows a SYQEL watermark, and premium stages and your own logo need a plan.

02SYQEL Desktop

Official site

SYQEL Desktop is our visuals app for DJs, VJs and venues, on Windows, macOS and in the browser. If you already build your stream in OBS, it feeds the visuals in.

Press B for a clean broadcast window to capture, or send the visuals over NDI, or Spout on Windows. It hears rekordbox and Serato, system audio, or a microphone or line in. It can also record the set in 16:9, 1:1, 9:16 and 4:5 at once, so vertical clips are ready to post. It is free to use, with a SYQEL watermark until you choose a plan.

Good for

Streamers who keep OBS and want visuals that follow the music fed into their scene.

Keep in mind

It does not stream to platforms by itself, so OBS or another app sends the stream.

03PRISM Live Studio (Audio Visualizer source)

Official site

PRISM Live Studio is a desktop streaming app from NAVER, for Windows and macOS. It has an Audio Visualizer source built in, with six templates. It listens to system audio, a microphone or a line in, or its own music playlist.

It streams and records by itself. The visualizer only works inside PRISM, and on a Mac, PRISM needs Apple Silicon. NAVER also offers an optional paid Plus subscription, and it does not say whether the visualizer needs it.

Good for

Streamers who already use PRISM and want a visualizer in their scene with no extra app.

Keep in mind

It only works inside PRISM, and on a Mac it needs Apple Silicon.

04Synesthesia

Official site

Synesthesia is a visualizer for live shows and streams, on Windows and macOS. Its scenes are GLSL shaders, and it hears system audio or a microphone or line in.

It sends its picture to OBS through Spout, and its docs show how. It also has Syphon and NDI, but NDI and full routing are Pro features. It has no recorder of its own, so OBS records the stream. The trial is watermarked.

Good for

OBS streamers who want shader visuals sent into their scene over Spout.

Keep in mind

It has no recorder of its own, and NDI and full Spout routing are Pro features.

05NestDrop

Official site

NestDrop is a Windows VJ app that plays classic MilkDrop presets. It hears system audio or a microphone or line in.

The free Classic edition sends its picture over Spout only, so you bring it into OBS that way. Direct fullscreen needs the Midnight edition, and NDI needs Midnight Pro.

Good for

Windows streamers who want classic MilkDrop presets in their OBS scene.

Keep in mind

The free edition sends its picture over Spout only, and NDI needs Midnight Pro.

06Resolume Avenue

Official site

Resolume Avenue is VJ software for mixing video clips and effects live, on Windows and macOS. Audio analysis can drive effects from a microphone or line in.

It sends its picture to OBS over NDI, Spout or Syphon, and it can record its output. It is built for someone playing the visuals by hand during the stream. The demo is fully working but watermarks the output.

Good for

Streamers who mix video clips and effects by hand during the show.

Keep in mind

Its audio analysis listens to a microphone or line in, and the demo watermarks the output.

07Specterr

Official site

Specterr is a web app that makes visualizer videos from a track, using templates. It is render-only, so it is for clips between streams, not the live show.

It exports MP4 up to 4K on the top plan. The free plan exports with a watermark.

Our take

Where SYQEL fits

If you stream with PRISM, its built-in visualizer is the quick start. If you already use OBS, Synesthesia, NestDrop and Resolume send full visuals into your scene. For clips to post between streams, Specterr, Renderforest and Kapwing make them from a track.

SYQEL Live fits when you want to be on camera, on a stage, with the visuals behind you, and stream to several platforms at once from one app. It records the show while it streams, so you have a video to post after. If you’d rather keep OBS, SYQEL Desktop sends its visuals into your scene. Both are free to try, with a watermark until you choose a plan.

Frequently asked questions

Can I stream visuals to Twitch, YouTube and Kick at the same time?

SYQEL Live streams the same show to Twitch, YouTube, Kick and other platforms at once, as long as your upload can carry every stream. With the other live tools, OBS or your streaming app does the streaming.

How do I get a standalone visualizer into OBS?

Capture its window, or send its picture over Spout, Syphon or NDI if it has them. Synesthesia, NestDrop, Resolume Avenue and SYQEL Desktop all send their picture out.

Do I need OBS at all?

Not with SYQEL Live or PRISM Live Studio. Both stream by themselves. The other live tools here feed OBS or another streaming app.

Can I be on camera with the visuals behind me?

SYQEL Live does it in one app. It cuts you out of your webcam picture and puts you on a stage with the visuals behind you. In OBS, you can layer your camera over a visualizer source yourself.

Can I get a video to post after the stream?

SYQEL Live records the whole show while it streams. For a short clip of one track, Specterr, Renderforest or Kapwing make one from a file, with a watermark on the free plan.

Will the visuals react to music from Spotify or a DJ app?

PRISM, NestDrop, Synesthesia and SYQEL Live hear the sound your computer plays. SYQEL Desktop hears rekordbox and Serato too. The render-only tools only use a file you upload.
