Editing a shader
You can change how any shader reacts to your music.
- Open Settings (the cog in the top bar) and choose Library.
- Click the Shaders chip, or search for the shader by name, and click it. It plays, and its details open on the right.
- Under Adjust, move the sliders while music plays:
- Pulse adds a pulsing zoom.
- Colors adds a color effect.
- Brightness adds a brightness effect.
- Sensitivity sets how strongly the shader responds to the audio.
- Change the Name if you want.
- Save your work:
- Save changes updates the shader itself (for shaders you made or imported).
- Save as a copy keeps the original and adds your version to the Library.
The save buttons appear only after you move a slider. Shaders that come with SYQEL are refreshed each time the app starts, so your version of one of them is always saved as a copy.
Tip: if the shader is not moving, the app is not hearing anything. Check the audio source in the top bar. See Troubleshooting audio detection.
For your own shader code, see the Import screen in Settings. For shaders made with AI, see Creating a visual with AI.
