How to make your stream visuals move with your DJ software

Watch: How to make your stream visuals move with your DJ software

Your DJ audio is the main channel. It is the music your stream plays, and it is what your visuals react to.

Pick your DJ software

  1. On the Live screen, find Audio.
  2. Open the DJ audio list.
  3. Pick your DJ software, for example rekordbox or Serato.
  4. Watch the meter. It lights up when sound comes in.
  5. Look at the top bar. The BPM appears when SYQEL Live hears the beat.

Now your visuals move with every beat.

If your DJ app is not in the list

  • Your DJ app shows up while it is playing. Start a track, then open the list again.
  • You can also pick an audio input. On Windows, a virtual cable (for example “CABLE Output”) shows up as an input.

Tips

  • If the BPM shows a dash, SYQEL Live hears nothing yet. Check that a track is playing and the right source is picked.
  • Give it a few seconds to lock onto the beat. Steady drums lock fastest.
  • Your choice is saved. Next time you open SYQEL Live, it uses the same source.
  • Want to talk on your stream too? See Add your mic and system audio.

Here is how to make your SYQEL Live visuals move with your music.

SYQEL Live listens to your DJ software. Under Audio, open DJ audio and pick it from the list. Here, it’s Rekordbox.

Your DJ app shows up in the list while it’s playing. If it’s missing, start a track, and open the list again.

The meter lights up, and the BPM appears at the top. That’s how you know SYQEL Live hears you.

And your visuals move with every beat.

Try SYQEL Live. Get it from SYQEL.com.
