How to add your mic and system audio to your DJ stream
The full audio mixer is on the Devices page. It has three channels:
- DJ Audio (Primary): your music. This is what your stream plays.
- Microphone: your voice.
- System Audio: everything else your computer plays, like a video or a call.
Add your mic
- Open Devices.
- Under Microphone, pick your mic.
- Turn the channel on air. It stays off until you switch it on.
- Set the gain so your voice sits well with the music.
- Use mute when you do not want to be heard.
Add system sound
- Under System Audio, turn the channel on air.
- Set its gain.
Choose what the visuals react to
Under Visuals react to, choose DJ, System or Mix.
DJ is best for most shows. Your voice then won’t set off the visuals.
Tips
- If your DJ audio already comes in through System Audio, leave System Audio off. Otherwise you hear the music twice. SYQEL Live warns you about this.
- Each channel has its own meter, after gain. Watch it while you talk to check your level.
- Setting up the music itself? See Make your stream visuals move with your DJ software.
