Quick Start Guide – Web (vj.syqel.com)

SYQEL runs right in your browser at vj.syqel.com — the same engine as the desktop app, nothing to install. Sign in and your worlds, shaders, playlists, and settings are already there.

Here is the fastest path from zero to visuals.

1. Open the app and sign in

Go to vj.syqel.com and sign in with Google, Facebook, an email link, or your email and password — whichever you used before. Your account is the same one across the browser, Mac, and Windows apps, so your library follows you.

The first time you sign in, your visuals and playlists sync in automatically. A small toast in the corner shows the progress; styles light up as they arrive.

2. Pick your audio source

Open the source dropdown in the top bar and choose what SYQEL should listen to:

  • A microphone — the quickest start; SYQEL reacts to whatever the room hears.
  • Tab or system audio — in Chrome and Edge, pick this to visualize a track playing in another tab or app. Tick “Share tab audio” in the picker so SYQEL actually hears it.
  • A virtual device (BlackHole, Loopback, VB-Cable…) — the pro route for clean system audio with no picker. Route your computer’s output into the virtual device and select it here; it shows as ”— system audio”.

Grant the microphone/permission prompt when your browser asks, and the visuals start moving.

3. Find your look

Every visual you own plays by default, worlds first. Narrow it to one style with the feed filter — Worlds, Shaders, Scenes, Milkdrop, or your own Image Visuals — or pick a playlist from the top bar and the show follows it. Press Space for the next visual, Enter to lock one you love.

4. Put it on the screen

Go fullscreen for a live set, or capture the browser in OBS for a stream (see the OBS guides in this section).

Some things need the operating system and so live in the free desktop app — NDI and Spout output, capturing another application’s audio directly, and full offline play. The browser shows those controls with a lock and a one-click path to the download.

That’s it — free to try, watermarked, with a subscription to remove the mark and add your own branding.
